Application:
A medium for the detection and enumeration of spore-forming, anaerobic sulphite-reducing bacteria, mainly of the genus Clostridium, using the membrane filter method in water and other materials. Tryptose sulphite agar contains sufficient nutrients to ensure the growth and multiplication of Clostridium.
