This medium also contains substances that neutralise the effects of compounds found in disinfectants which inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Application: The composition of the medium has been carefully formulated to ensure optimal bacterial growth. The medium, which is a source of carbon, nitrogen and minerals, contains casein and soya peptone. The combination of these two peptones enables the growth of a wide range of microorganisms.
