Application: Schaedler’s broth is used for the culture and isolation of anaerobic and facultative anaerobic microbial strains of clinical and non-clinical origin, e.g. bacteria of the genera Clostridium, Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Flavobacterium and Bacteroides. The medium is also suitable for the recovery of anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides and Prevotella.
