A selective medium for the culture and detection of the ability of halophilic microorganisms to utilise mannitol. This medium contains sufficient nutrients to ensure the growth and reproduction of bacteria with low nutritional requirements. It serves a differential function, enabling the determination of microorganisms’ ability to utilise mannitol.
