Application: Antibiotic susceptibility tests are used to measure the sensitivity of microorganisms to antibiotics. This technique is used for routine testing of certain fast-growing pathogens. Dry paper filters are impregnated with specific concentrations of antibiotics and placed on the surface of microbiological media inoculated with microorganisms.
